Jane Lump
Jane Lump is an avid reader, journal writer, former language professor, and consulting professional with over 25 years of experience helping large multinational organizations communicate important issues to motivate action. Her new book, Run with Scissors: a guide to taking risks to discover your passion, explores what she learned about the value of risk in finding self. Drawing on her early memories as a grade school student in a small Midwestern town, the board rooms of her Fortune 50 communication clients, and the success stories of her coaching clients today, Jane’s stories demonstrate key concepts in innovation and change and challenge readers to stretch and grow.
Today, Jane helps individuals explore their purpose and form step-by-step plans to make their dreams a reality. Prior to her consulting career, she spent ten years in academia, teaching at both Purdue and Valparaiso Universities. Jane holds a B.S. in Education from Ball State University and an M.A. from Purdue University, where she completed all but her dissertation for a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition. She has advanced training in the Synectics® and Grove® methods of facilitation and creative problem solving and in Michael Gelb’s method of Mindmapping to generate, record and align group thinking by engaging both the right and left brain.
